Run to Jesus – Encouragement from Bill Pope

March 20, 2020

Each day we are provided with the latest updates on the spread of the Covid-19 virus but for most of us, we have done what we can to follow the guidelines to control the spread of the virus. Increasingly, our focus is on the impact of the things we can’t control such as the financial impact, the restrictions to meet, and the limiting places to feel safe.

I believe you have enough sources to get updated information, but maybe not enough sources to provide you with a word of encouragement and hope. During these days of stress and fear, I would like to remind you of who you are in the Lord’s eyes and how valuable and loved you are by Him. If these thoughts are a blessing to you, feel free to share them with your friends, followers, and neighbors.

Today’s thought:

“The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe”

Proverbs 18:10

  • When you are restless in the middle of the night and you feel the crush of how you will make it…
  • When fear is as close as your breath and all you can see is a financial, relational or situational crisis…
  • When the anxiety hurts so much because you are so afraid of not being able to provide for the ones depending upon you…

Picture yourself running to your Heavenly Father and calling His name, “Jesus”. There may be tears as you run. Let your prayers be a defiant stance against overwhelming and paralyzing fear by saying, “I trust you Jesus”, rather than letting the fearful thoughts run wild throughout your mind. As His children, He knows your name and sees you where you are. Each of us at MissionSafe is praying for you and we appreciate your prayers as well.
