Meet the Winners of the 2021 Summer Missions Contest
Atlanta, GA (October 2021) – The Leave Your Mark essay contest, co-sponsored by International Medical Group (IMG) and MissionSafe, is held annually at the end of the summer, awarding two $5,000 and one $1,000 prizes.
Ministries were asked to answer the following questions: “How is your organization working to overcome the current obstacles impacting the world? If your organization were to win, how would this award support your global outreach efforts?”
This year we added an additional opportunity to win, by giving participants the option to post a picture from their mission work on social media. The winner was personally awarded $500 and an additional $500 to give to their ministry.
The essay winners are Global Year, Real Impact Missions, and Make a Miracle. The social media winner is Hunter Smith, who stole our hearts by sharing her experience as a long-term missionary in Thailand.

Real Impact Missions serves as a multi-denominational organization that mobilizes individuals and groups for short-term mission trips to international and domestic locations. They value strategic partnerships, intentional evangelism, exemplary leadership, ministry that matters, and cultural adventures. Their trips incorporate Gospel presentations, community development, construction projects, educational initiatives, medical clinics, and disaster response teams as ways to tangibly meet the needs presented by their ministry partners.
